01 / INTRODUCTION

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING × ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

I started with the web.
Now i work with software and AI.

I started working as a freelance web developer while I was still in high school. Today, I study Artificial Intelligence in Palermo and work on AI agent testing as an undergraduate research assistant at UT Dallas.

02 / BACKGROUND

I started with web development.
Then I wanted to understand more.

My first work was freelance web development during high school. I learned to work with clients and turn their requests into a website they could use.

At MadNight, I was both a co-founder and a developer. I built the company website, customer portal and backend APIs, and took care of version control and rollback workflows.

Since then, I’ve worked on embedded firmware and machine learning during an internship at Infobiotech. In my current research role, I’m investigating how to evaluate the tests used for AI agents.

AUG 2026 — PRESENT

Undergrad research assistant

The University of Texas at Dallas · Remote

I investigate whether test suites can detect faults in AI agents. I’m developing a Python pipeline that uses LLMs to generate mutations from real-world defects and evaluate those tests. This is where I’m learning to approach software reliability as a research problem.

MAR — JUL 2026

Embedded AI engineer intern

Infobiotech · Palermo

I wrote C firmware for STM32 microcontrollers and trained models in PyTorch for embedded deployment. I also worked on replacing a legacy solution with a machine learning approach, following the work from model development to deployment.

Co-founder

MadNight · Palermo

I co-founded MadNight and developed its showcase website and customer management portal in React and Redux. I built REST APIs with Node.js, Express and MongoDB, and introduced GitHub-based version control, backup and rollback workflows. Being a founder meant taking responsibility for delivery as well as writing the code.

Independent work

I began working as a web developer while still at school. Taking on client work gave me my first experience of delivering software outside the classroom.

04 / ABOUT

A little more
about me.

I’m completing my degree in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Palermo. I chose this path after studying computer science at a technical institute and starting to work in web development. I wanted to understand the models behind the software, as well as how to build it.

Outside work and university, I enjoy chess, reading, gardening and travelling.

Working with other people.

1ST PLACE · 2026

DataPolis University Challenge

Bagheria, Italy · Ponte 19

I worked with Alessandro Carosia to analyse the challenges faced by young people in Bagheria. We used public data, Python and R to develop a municipal service proposal. Our team took first place after weeks of analysis, debugging and refining how we presented the results.

PARTICIPANT · 2024

Encode London

London, UK · Web3 hackathon

I took part in the Encode London hackathon with Nuno Miguel Araújo, Ashish Upadhyay and Sean Graham. We worked together throughout the event, and I came away with new experience of collaborating in a team under time pressure.
